WHAT IS THE MOST VALUABLE PIECE OF ARTISTIC ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED, AND FROM WHO?
Sculptor Sylvia Czerkas gave me three of the best pieces of advice I have ever received: “Produce, produce, produce.” My friend Nordy Roblin opened my eyes when he observed (after I told him I was going to see a new movie), “Going to see a movie? Really? Two hours alone in the dark. You could be having your own adventures instead of watching someone else’s.” I immediately began scheduling adventures around the world each year after that, adventures that have fed (and continue to feed) my artistic soul.
