Young dinosaur Dino Mite isn't the most popular kid. He wants to impress his peers by getting a huge Gigantosaurus for a pet. But his parents think Dino isn't responsible enough and instead buy him a stone age girl, Lucy... who’s the worst possible pet Dino could imagine. She’s tiny,
she’s trouble, she’s an embarrassment in front of his peers. In a series of small adventures, however, they come closer together and find hidden qualities in each other. They come to realise they’re best friends. When Lucy is taken away and replaced with the Gigantosaurus, Dino fights to get her back... and together they take part in the Pet Olympics, where they use their skill and wit to win a special prize.
