WWE stars reimagined as cartoons in new Seth Green project

EVER wondered what your favourite WWE superstars would look like as cartoons when they were kids? No? Well, Seth Green has.

The American actor/comedian/producer/writer/director of Austin Powers and Family Guy fame has reimagined the likes of The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin and WWE supremo Vince McMahon himself in an animated series called Camp WWE which will debut on the WWE Network on May 1.
Targeting a more mature audience in the same way shows like South Park and Archer, the series is set in a camp run by McMahon — who voices his own character — and 15-year-old counsellors Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.
Ric Flair and Sgt. Slaughter — who also voice their characters — are activity supervisors to a host of younger versions of current superstars like The Undertaker, Dean Ambrose and the Bella twins, who are voiced by actors.
“Getting to introduce these characters to a different audience (and) a new generation in a way they’ve never seen before is like a unique kind of privilege for me,” Green told USA Today.
That includes the face of the company John Cena, who is just as positive as an eight-year-old. “We wanted to play with the can-do spirit of an eight-year-old who always has a shoulder for you to cry on and always has some encouraging message but also just gets annoying,” Green said. “He’s great at everything in the show but the other campers are like, ‘Ah, John, you know none of us like you, right?’”
Here’s just a selection of the superstars you’ll see on the show.

Green is a long-time follower of the WWE and guest hosted an episode of Monday Night Raw in 2009. He actually took part in a six-man tag team match that night and his fandom was set in stone.
“People aren’t ready for how much they’re going to love Vince McMahon,” Green told the WWE Network.
